Attractions & Activities

The landscape, coastline and quaint old buildings are undoubtedly the main attraction of the local area. There are also local potteries, art galleries and museums : Museum of Witchcraft, The Davidstow Moor RAF memorial museum and Davidstow airfield & Cornwall at War Museum. Tintagel Castle with it's Arthurian legend, run by English Heritage and The National Trust Old Post Office are well worth a visit. Physical activities include surfing, coasteering, kayaking, fishing, pony trekking, cycling, tennis and walking. National Trust Coast of Cornwall walking leaflets can be viewed on this site. Within an hour’s drive are the stately homes of Lanhydrock and Pencarrow. Bodmin Jail is also an interesting place to visit a short drive away.
