For your basic holiday needs the area has a number of smaller shops with the bigger supermarkets in towns such as Bude, Launceston, Wadebridge and Bodmin.  Cornwall's only city, Truro, is about an hour away by car.

There are cash machines (withdrawal free in Tintagel) in some villages. The nearest main banks are in Camelford, Wadebridge and Bodmin.
