Road Directions

The Old Mill is sited just behind the bridge at the beginning of the harbour on a confluence of the Valency and Jordan rivers.

There is limited street parking available next to the Old Mill, however to take advantage of a more leisurely visit to our beautiful harbour it is suggested that the main car park just 100 metres away is used.

On foot from the main car park, turning left at the exit, towards the harbour, the walk will take you past a number of interesting gift shops the local bakery and restaurants to the main road bridge. Carry on over on the left side of the bridge and around the corner passing ‘The Otherworld’ the mystical shop nestled just below the water wheel at the front of the Old Mill. The Old Mill is directly ahead and the main entrance into the building is on the centre left of the large courtyard at the rear of the building. The bears are all there just through the doors waiting to meet you.

Directions From further Away

From Exeter take motorway M5, at junction 31 the Motorway divides into two, the A30 and A38 (to Plymouth). Take the left lane marked A30 to Okehampton – Launceston - Bodmin.

Stay on the A30 for 40 miles to Launceston, then, approximately 2 miles beyond Launceston, take the slip-road exit off marked Kennards House (A395). Signposted to North Cornwall, Wadebridge, Camelford and Bude. Turn right at the mini-roundabout which will take you over the dual carriage way and turn left at next mini-roundabout.

After a few miles on this road you will drive through a village named Pipers Pool. You will then pass through a wind farm and then a farmer’s market village - Hallworthy and on the right you will pass an inn called the Wilsey Down. Remain on the A395 until you reach the A39.

Boscastle is clearly sign posted from here on. When you arrive in the village of Boscastle from B3266 (Camelford direction) Turn right at Doctors Corner junction beside Petrol Station (B3266 joins B3263) and follow signs to down into Boscastle Harbour. Just after the hairpin bend you will see the main road bridge over the river and the Old Mill beside it on the right. Car parking is just over the bridge approx 100 metres on right.
